Judith Hothan

 This is a partial copy of an obituary that appeared in the Boston Globe in July of 1992:

Judith Hothan, a social worker and community activist from East Cambridge, died Tuesday night in Massachusetts General Hospital, 13 days after she had been struck by a car (reported to be "hit and run"), while walking near her home. She was 49.

Ms. Hothan was born in Chicago Heights, Ill., and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1965 with a degree in zoology.

She began working as a social worker in the emergency ward of MGH and later went to work in the hospital's acute psychiatric service.

In 1970, she received a master's degree in social work from Simmons College.

Judy was killed in Boston by a hit-and-run driver while she was out running, in the Spring of 1992.
